About Vickie Kaiser
Very Nice To Meet You!
Hello!I am Vickie Kaiser and I would like to introduce myself and share with you how I came to be inspired and passionate about design, and how my passion became a career that I love.I was married and stayed home with two great kids. During this time I took on a large remodel project of our kitchen and living area. I enjoyed all aspects of the process, from talking with contractors, space planning, and shopping for furniture and fabrics, to picking out appliances, lighting, flooring and paint colors. I had a natural instinct for design and the ability to see the big picture without loosing site of the details. Interior Design is about aesthetics, but equally about function.I decided to get my Interior Design degree as fast as possible. As word got out that I was a design student, everyone wanted my help. So I started a small business and did some work on the side. I finished up my degree while working with designer Kelli Kaufer on the DIY network show, I Hate My Kitchen. I worked on 18 kitchens, primarily during season 7 of the show. Click on my Gallery and go to DIY Network and see some of the kitchens I was involved in.
Then through doing some Home Staging work for a Realtor friend, I found it particularly rewarding to use my design knowledge to help people through a transitional phase in their life. Home Staging is the complete opposite of Interior Design. Interior Design represents you personally, making your home your own. Home Staging represents the home’s potential, enabling a buyer to envision making the home their own. I use design principles to define spaces for a broad appeal, and that shows each home at it’s greatest potential. Generally a home is your biggest investment, and I help facilitate getting the highest return on that investment.
